I may not have stuffed my face with Christmas treats just yet, but I’m already thinking about how I can get fitter again in 2015. I have some specific goals for the new year including the Great North Run next September, and generally starting to become more active after having a baby. John Lewis kindly offered me the opportunity to pick out some sports clothing from their range as part of their #JLLiveBetter campaign. They have a great range of sports clothing, accessories and equipment, so I was really spoiled for choice!
I decided to pick out some really good quality fitness clothing that looks great to help me get out running and get back to the gym more often…
The Nike Pro Hyperwarm Fitted Nordic Half-Zip Top in Purple/Hyper Pink looks so stylish! I love the colour with those pops of pink and the pattern on the arms. It is lightweight but still has a fleecy lining so you know it would keep you warm on colder runs while still whipping away any sweat. I love the thumb holes in the sleeves too!
I also got the Nike Women’s Tech Running Tights in black:
I have to admit, since gaining a fair bit of baby weight I was concerned how tight running leggings would fit, but these in a size L fit perfectly. I love the zip opening at the bottom of the legs too. Definitely a must have item for cooler running in my opinion!
I LOVE these leggings! These are the Nike Legendary Tight Training Capri Trousers in Black/Grey. I’ve been after some leggings with a funky print for ages and these more than fit the bill! The fabric feels a little thicker than I expected which I love as they feel more secure and figure hugging (in a good way). They are slightly cropped which I think is nice for the gym. As I am still on the larger side, the muted colours are a little more flattering while still giving you that funky legging look.
Last but not least is the Shock Absorber Ultimate Sports Run Bra. I asked my lovely Facebook community for recommendations and Shock Absorber came out top of the list. I have had this bra before in various sizes as my body shape has changed. For running with bigger boobs I think this is awesome. There’s very little movement when I’ve worn this bra in the past. A definite sports wear wardrobe staple.
Have you bought anything from the John Lewis sports clothing selection? Whats on your sports clothing / accessory wish list right now?
