Dental health is one of those aspects of our overall wellbeing that has the potential for becoming a bit of a blind spot. I know that I probably don’t give my dental health the attention it deserves, and as a result of writing this post I have booked myself in for a check up at the dentist!
Perhaps it’s the association of dentists with painful procedures that is partially to blame for this being an area we sometimes ignore, however take a look at this graphic with dental facts through the ages:
It certainly puts things into perspective! I’ve had a couple of teeth out (most recently my wisdom teeth 18 months ago) and I can’t imagine having them replaced with animal teeth fixed in with wire!
